Skincare Routine: Summer 2014

Today I wanted to do my first skincare routine! For the majority of the year I have kind of normal to dry skin but in the summertime it does tend to become slightly more oily so I like to switch out skincare products for the summer so here are the products I've been using this summer.

Morning:
The first product I will use in the morning is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Wash. Some of you may remember I featured the matching moisturiser in an earlier post (which you can check out here) so as you can tell, this is one of my favourite skincare lines. This is just a really great cleanser that works amazingly for my skin. It smells amazing too - lemon and papaya!

After the face wash, I like to use the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. This states it contains chamomile and witch hazel, two amazing products for your skin to gently soothe skin, help tone and tighten pores. This is only really an essential to me in the summer as I don't find to be as effective in the winter when my skin is less oily.

The final product I use in the morning is the Garnier Moisture Match, this is another amazing product line with a number of different formulas to suit different skin types. Mine is in the formula for dull skin and I just really like this to use before applying my makeup.

Night: 
I like to keep my skincare routine really simple at night during the summer using only one product which is the Garnier Micellar Water. I can't actually rave about this product enough, it's the best skincare product I have ever used. It removes makeup and cleanses the skin in one step without rinsing, simply by just applying it with a cotton pad. Not only does it remove all makeup so easily (even waterproof mascara!) but it leaves your skin feeling so soft. It comes in a 400ml bottle which is significantly larger than most skincare products so it lasts for ages as well as being really cheap.

The last product I use is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Shine Control Daily Facial Scrub - this is for people with oily skin as although it says it is gentle enough for everyday use, I prefer to only use this product around once or twice a week in the summer as that is what suits my skin type. I mainly use this product on days when the temperature has been a bit higher. It also has the most amazing citrus scent!
