Bath and Body Works Haul

So seeing as we don't have Bath and Body Works in the UK, whenever I'm in America I usually end up purchasing a few things and this time was no different. However it was the first time I've been there when they had all the Christmas scents in! Of course I tried them all out and fell in LOVE with the "Winter Candy Apple" scent and so naturally I bought the fragrance mist, hand cream, hand sanitiser and body lotion. It is described to be red apple, winter rose petals and candied orange.

I also really loved the "Beautiful Day" scent and since the majority of the products I was getting were Christmas/Winter-esque, it would be great for spring/summer so I got the fragrance mist and hand sanitiser in that scent. It is described to be green apple, wild pink poppies and dewy pear.

I also picked up the "Warm Vanilla Sugar" fragrance mist, the "Twilight Woods" fragrance mist and four more hand sanitisers in "Iced Blackberries," "Merry Cookie," "Sugar Plum Dream" and "Cherry Pinwheel." I also got the majority of my Christmas presents for my friends there which I sadly can't share with you all.

The Vamps Concert Makeup!

Recently I went to the Meet The Vamps tour, it was so much fun. I love concerts so much, I honestly love having ones planned months in advance and spending half a year counting down the days, anyone else as obsessed as me? What's In My Sleepover Bag

Hello everyone! Bit of a random post today, I was packing for a sleepover and thought some of you might want to see what I take with me to a sleepover, I know how common and loved "what's in my handbags/carry on bags/etc" are but I scarcely see what people take in an overnight bag.

The bag I use for sleepovers is from Kenneth Cole, it was from last season and so I don't think you'll be able to find this exact one anymore but here is a similar style from the same brand. It was quite expensive but worth it I think, as I definitely use it a lot.

I of course bring pyjamas and clothes for the next day. I often bring a hoodie in case I get a bit cold. I always take a bottle of water with me pretty much everywhere I go.The deodorant I'm currently using is one from Nivea and I also bring a mini Ted Baker body spray. I also have my toothbrush and hair brush.

For skincare, I guess it depends on the occasion (ie if I'm staying at a friend's after a party or an event, it would differ greatly from if I were staying at a friends just for a night in with friends y'know?) but this time I'm just bringing my Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream and my Garnier Moisture Match Moisturiser. I also bring a small amount of makeup and a few makeup brushes in my Real Techniques brush roll (which I'll do a separate post on) and my makeup bag also has some hair ties and bracelets in it.

I usually bring a movie or a TV series with me in case we want to watch something - this time I chose a series of Modern Family.

Massive Beauty Haul - Boots & Superdrug

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of posts recently but I'm back with lots of beauty posts coming in the next few weeks :) recently I got quite a few things from Boots and Superdrug as my birthday was at the end of last month. Hope you enjoy x

Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara - this is the first Bourjois mascara I have tried and I had quite high hopes as Bourjois do have some of the most expensive mascaras in the drugstore. Unfortunately it didn't really live up to my expectations, it wasn't really disappointing but just not one of the best mascaras I've had so I wouldn't repurchase it. Bourjois Smokey Eyes Eyeshadow Trio "01 Gris Dandy" - I typically go for neutral eyes with a brighter or darker lipstick when going out so I decided to get some darker eyeshadow palettes to maybe switch that up a bit. I've only used this once as of now so not fully made up my mind yet but so far so good! Find out more here.

Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses "Strawberry" "Hot Pink" "Pink Ice" - I already had two lipglosses from this line and I was (still am!) absolutely obsessed with them so I decided to get some more. Strawberry is a beautiful bright red colour, Hot Pink is pretty self explanatory (looks amazing over the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in "Lovesick!") and Pink Ice is a really nice natural colour that would work really well over a nude lipstick.Links to these lipglosses here!

Bourjois Blusher "Ashes of Roses" - anyone who loves makeup has probably tried a Bourjois blusher and would agree with me how amazing they are (although I can't stand the smell!  Too heavily perfumed! But I know most people like it so that's just a personal preference) and this one is matte which I thought was quite unusual as most blushers I gravitate towards have shimmer. Find out more here.

Sleek Face Form "Light" - I thought it was about time I got this and it definitely lived up to the height. A dupe for the adored Nars trio, these three products in one are amazing and if you don't have this, you need this in your life. More info here!

Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder "Natural Fair" - Seventeen had an offer on in Boots and it was a brand I never really had much interest in but I decided to try out a couple of their products and I'm glad I did. As much as I love my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, I wanted to get a powder that did a similar thing but had better packaging, with an attached lid and mirror. This does a really great job of setting my makeup and achieving a matte look. Link here!

Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick "Beehive" - this might just be my new favourite lipstick. It's a really natural colour that could be worn to school/work/etc and has a somewhat glossy finish. I really really love it and need more shades. Link here!

Skincare Routine: Summer 2014

Today I wanted to do my first skincare routine! For the majority of the year I have kind of normal to dry skin but in the summertime it does tend to become slightly more oily so I like to switch out skincare products for the summer so here are the products I've been using this summer.

Morning:
The first product I will use in the morning is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Skin Brightening Daily Facial Wash. Some of you may remember I featured the matching moisturiser in an earlier post (which you can check out here) so as you can tell, this is one of my favourite skincare lines. This is just a really great cleanser that works amazingly for my skin. It smells amazing too - lemon and papaya!

After the face wash, I like to use the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. This states it contains chamomile and witch hazel, two amazing products for your skin to gently soothe skin, help tone and tighten pores. This is only really an essential to me in the summer as I don't find to be as effective in the winter when my skin is less oily.

The final product I use in the morning is the Garnier Moisture Match, this is another amazing product line with a number of different formulas to suit different skin types. Mine is in the formula for dull skin and I just really like this to use before applying my makeup.

Night: 
I like to keep my skincare routine really simple at night during the summer using only one product which is the Garnier Micellar Water. I can't actually rave about this product enough, it's the best skincare product I have ever used. It removes makeup and cleanses the skin in one step without rinsing, simply by just applying it with a cotton pad. Not only does it remove all makeup so easily (even waterproof mascara!) but it leaves your skin feeling so soft. It comes in a 400ml bottle which is significantly larger than most skincare products so it lasts for ages as well as being really cheap.

The last product I use is the Clean & Clear Morning Energy Shine Control Daily Facial Scrub - this is for people with oily skin as although it says it is gentle enough for everyday use, I prefer to only use this product around once or twice a week in the summer as that is what suits my skin type. I mainly use this product on days when the temperature has been a bit higher. It also has the most amazing citrus scent!

10 Of My Favourite TV Shows

Hi guys, firstly I just wanted to apologise for the lack of posts lately, I thought that as it was summer I'd have more time to spend on my blog but I've been super busy. Anyway I'm back and today I wanted to do a bit of a different post and share with you, in my opinion, ten of the best TV shows. Most of these I watch on Netflix, anyone else share my love for Netflix?! Anyway, hope you maybe find some new TV shows to watch and if you have any favourite TV shows I haven't mentioned let me know in the comments!

10. Glee

I used to be obsessed with Glee although I will admit the earlier seasons were better.

9. Parks and Recreation

This is the latest TV show I am watching, so far I've only seen the first season and I believe they're now on the 6th season! It reminds me slightly of The Office (US version) but in my opinion it's funnier. It focuses on the main character of Leslie who works for the government in the Parks and Recreation department. It's absolutely hilarious and episodes are only 20 minutes long which I like.

8. Kate Plus 8/Jon & Kate Plus 8
I'm not a huge fan of reality TV but I will admit I love this show, it's probably not everyone's favourite but it might be to some of you!

7. The Fosters

I only started watching this recently and watched the entire first season in like five days. It's kind of a drama series but mixed in with a bit of comedy too, it's really great, and weird fact - Jennifer Lopez is one of the executive producers.

6. Friends

Who doesn't love Friends?! I don't think I know a single person who hasn't seen this show.

5. The Carrie Diaries

I think anyone here reading a beauty blog would love this TV show, it's just amazing. I've watched all of season one and I am waiting desperately for season two to be put on Netflix.

4. Pretty Little Liars

I was actually a little hesitant to watch this in the first place despite several people recommending it to me but eventually last summer I watched the first few episodes and quickly became hooked. It is definitely one of the most aggravating TV shows though..I just want to know who A is!!

3. Ugly Betty

I think this was the first ever TV show I was "obsessed" with, I must have seen every episode at least like six times now and I still love it just as much.

2. Modern Family
This is one of my favourites, it's the kind of show you don't necessarily have to watch in order (similar to Friends) and it's just so funny. I can't decide is Lily or Cameron is my favourite character.

1. Breaking Bad

This is undoubtedly the best TV show ever, especially in the latter seasons, you literally cannot stop watching. I would recommend this to everyone.

5 Seconds Of Summer & One Direction Concert Makeup!

If you hadn't guessed from the title, recently I went to Where We Are Tour! I had so much fun! I've seen both One Direction and 5sos a number of times so decided to share with you the makeup I wore. I kept the makeup pretty simple with the exception of a bright lip.

Current Favourite Lip Products: Mac and Revlon

Recently I've been loving the combination of MAC Lipstick in "Creme Cup" and Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in "Bellini."

Mac's Creme Cup is a beautiful light natural pink. It is a cremesheen lipstick meaning it has a super creamy formula which I love.
Revlon's Bellini is a peachy nude shade which can be layered over almost any lipstick but I like it particularly over shades such as Creme Cup.

5 Minute Makeup for Lazy Days!

It's slowly transitioning into summer and I don't know about you guys but when the weather is nice I like to keep my makeup to a minimal. Here's my five minute makeup routine using only five products.

1. Foundation - I like to keep my foundation in the summer relatively light coverage compared to ones I'm more likely to navigate towards in the winter time. One of my current favourites is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Foundation, this is on the more expensive side but so worth it! It looks so natural and radiant.

2. Bronzer - I'm absolutely obsessed with the NYC "Sunny" Bronzer recently, I've been wearing it every single day!

3. Eyeliner - unlike many, eyeliner isn't really a necessity to me, I definitely don't wear it on a daily basis. However on days when I'm keeping the rest of my makeup pretty straightforward I like to add a bit more eyeliner than I would usually to balance it out, today I used Maybelline Gel Eyeliner. 

4. Mascara - mascara is probably my favourite makeup product, I have tried and tested a staggering amount in the few years I've worn makeup. I still try out a ridiculous number of new mascaras but one of very few I will continue repurchasing is Benefit "they're real."

5. Lip Balm - I absolutely love lipstick but on those days I can't really be bothered to do my full face of makeup I stick to a lipbalm such as the EOS one I used today. However, you could also opt for a tinted lip balm such as the Maybelline Baby Lips or the new Benefit ones - I must get one of those!

Camila Cabello Inspired Makeup

So recently I've been listening to a lot of Fifth Harmony and I think that Camila's makeup just always looks amazing so I wanted to create a simple makeup look inspired by her.

1. Camila's skin always looks flawless without too heavy makeup so I used my Maybelline BB Cream for a light coverage then added a little Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Foundation over the top, this foundation is relatively light coverage but makes your skin look really glowy and I just love it.

2. I added a little of my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

3. Camila often wears a touch of bronzer and a shimmery pink blush so I used Bourjous Delice de Poudre Bronzer and Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon Blusher in "Pearlescent Pink." Camila is definitely more tanned than I am so this step is a necessity haha!

4. Camila doesn't often wear a lot of eyeshadow so I kept it really simple applying only a shimmery colour - mine was from the Revlon Colorstay Quad in "505 Decadent" but any eyeshadow of this description would do - all over the lid and a slightly lighter colour in the corner of my eyes to brighten them.

5. Camila uses a lot of eyeliner - I used my Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner on my upper lash line and my Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner on my waterline - both just in the colour black. I also used my favourite mascara - Maybelline The Falsies.

6. Camila doesn't really have a specific shade of lipgloss/lipstick she wears so any colour from a bright pink to a red to a nude colour would work. I decided to go with my NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in "Smokey Look."
