What's In My Bag?

The bag I'm using currently was from TK Maxx and I think it was about £20. It's quite small but has about six different compartments so it's really good to keep everything organised. I absolutely love the colour of the bag.

The contents of my bag really aren't very interesting, in the main pocket I have my purse (which was a gift from a friend), my iPod (which is the newest Nano), my sunglasses which I think were from H&M and my camera. I also usually have my phone in here too.

In the other sections I have my Joules body lotion which I use as hand cream, it smells amazing. I have a lip balm, a mascara from Maybelline and a lipstick from Rimmel. And lastly I just have a few hairbands and a pen.

My Favourite: Drugstore Mascara

Today I wanted to share with you my favourite drugstore mascara - Maybelline The Falsies. I'm sure you've all heard lots about this product so I'm not going to repeat too much other than just tell you the three reasons why I love it: it keeps your lashes curled all day, it adds lots of volume and it doesn't cause clumps.

Also this is the first ever mascara I've got in "brownish-black" as I usually get "blackest black" but since I have blonde hair I wanted to see if I liked the look of less harsh mascara and I must say I don't notice too much of a difference so maybe I'll try some more. This retails for £7.99 at Boots or Superdrug.

Fashion Favourite: Black Wedges

Although my blog is predominately beauty related, every now and again there's a clothing item or in this case a pair of shoes that I love too much not to share with you all. Today I just wanted to write a really short post about my current favourite pair of shoes.

I'm really short so I do love wearing heels when going out but I find that wedges are just so much more comfortable and these black suede wedges from New Look are the comfiest wedges I have ever found. They're relatively high and so cheap at £20. Black, of course, goes with pretty much everything so I know I'll wear these lots.

If you're interested, these can be bought here. Thanks for reading! Follow me on Bloglovin' http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/10802503 xx

Spring 2014 Makeup!

Hi, today I'm going to do a post about a couple things I'm changing up in my makeup routine for the springtime using only a few products.

Firstly, this spring I am going to wear more coral lips, I find that in the winter months I tend to stick to natural colours or more berry tones. Two of my favourite coral lip products are the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in "Orange Punch" and Benefit's "Spiked Punch" lipgloss - this is super pigmented, I love this formula so much!

Here you can see swatches of both in slightly different lighting.

Another change in my makeup for the springtime is more natural eyelashes, this is unusual for me as usually I like the look of quite thick lashes with two or three coats of mascara. Maybelline's Mega Plush is amazing for getting a natural look for eyelashes, perfect for the daytime.

A final change in my makeup routine for spring is glowy skin, in the winter I quite liked the matte look. Two products I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of to achieve this is the Beautyuk Stripey Blush in shade 3. This is very shimmery compared to most of the other blushs I own. As it has five different colours, you could use each individually but I prefer to just mix them all which gives this beautiful kind of bronzey-blush.

This is a swatch of all the colours mixed together.

Finally, I am going to switch my primer to the Smashbox Luminizing Photo Finish Foundation Primer which you can read more about here!

This is what the primer looks like a little blended out.
