September Favourites!

Hey guys! Today I am so excited to share with you my September favourites as October to December are my favourite months of the year, I love the lead up to Christmas and can't believe how fast this year is going!

My first favourite has been Batiste dry shampoo, I know it’s considered bad for your hair but I have really long hair so I do wash my hair every day, however usually on school days I have a shower at night so I have been liking using this product in the mornings just to refresh my hair. Available here for £2.99

I’ve also loved Soap and Glory’s Hand Food hand cream, this is an extremely popular product, I don’t know anyone who dislikes this. It contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallows – anyone who hasn’t tried it, you are sure to love it! Travel size available here for £2.50,

My next favourite has been the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch highlighting concealer, I go to bed quite late and especially as I went back to school this month, I haven’t been getting that much sleep so this has been an essential! Mine is in the lightest shade - Ivory. Available here for £6.99
Another September favourite of mine has been the Revlon colorburst lipgloss in 008 Peony, I’ve had this lipgloss for nearly a year now and I just love it, it’s a perfect pink with just a touch of peach in it. It looks lovely worn alone or with a nude or pink lipstick underneath. Can be bought here for £7.99
My last beauty favourite for September has been the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in 100 – Pinched. The name is definitely accurate – it looks lovely in photos and gives you a perfect glow. My only fault with this product is that there are only three shades in the line – a bright pink, an orange and a peach – and out of these, only the colour I have, would seem wearable to me, personally. If there were more wearable shades in the line I would definitely buy more. £7.99 from here
Swatches: Cream Blush in "Pinched", Lipgloss in "Peony"
My first fashion favourite is my new Calvin Klein coat, I got this in an actual Calvin Klein shop and so it’s difficult to try and find the exact one but here is one relatively similar.

As  this month I've been loving these songs:

Thanks for reading! What have been some of your beauty favourites this month? Let me know :)

Current Skincare favourite!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a skincare product that I've been loving recently, I actually purchased this in America as I had forgotten to bring a cleanser with me so I just randomly picked this one out and I am so glad I did.

It is the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Reviving Cleanser - what a long name! It smells gorgeous - just like pomegranate! The really unique thing about this product and perhaps why I love it so much is the fact it has real strawberry seeds in it. You may, just as I was, be thinking "what a weird thing to put in a cleanser" but trust me it works amazingly.

I don't have particularly oily or dry skin so I don't tend to look for any specific aim of a product but the main claim of this cleanser is to "help revive tired skin" and I think it does just that. I wouldn't really limit this to recommend to a specific skin type, I just think that if you are wanting to try out a new skincare product then definitely give this a try!

Can be bought in any US drugstore or in the likes of Wal-Mart, Target, etc for around $6. Let me know if you have any new skincare favourites!

My Favourite: Bronzer

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you my favourite bronzer, admittedly I haven't tried too many bronzers but to me this stands out as the best and I will continue to repurchase: the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder.

Bourjois is a brand known for its good quality yet affordable bronzers and has a range of different bronzers available, but this is by far the most popular and I can definitely see why.

The product is supposed to look and smell like a chocolate bar, it does have quite a strong scent which I don't mind but if you prefer products without strong scents then I probably wouldn't purchase this. It comes in two shades (51 and 52) one which has a more orange undertone and one with a more red undertone giving you the option to choose which one better suits your complexion.

It is matte which means it is great to use as a contouring powder as well as just to bronze up your skin. This bronzer has good colour pay off without being too intense so that you are scared to use it in case of looking orange! I know that for some girls bronzer isn't a product they often use but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a little hesitant to use bronzer, I think it will definitely change your mind!

The Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder can be purchased here from Boots and retails for a price of £6.99.

My Everyday Makeup for School

Hey guys, today I wanted to share with you my everyday makeup routine for school. Despite loving makeup so much and owning rather a lot, I don't spend very much time on my makeup before school and therefore only use a few products.

As a base I tend to stick with BB Cream for school as I find it a lot easier to apply and you don't need a primer - saving time meaning a few extra minutes in bed which we all appreciate on early mornings! Recently I've been using the Garnier one, but I also like the Maybelline one - comparison post coming soon! For a little more coverage I use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer which I love!

If I have a little extra time I sometimes use a small amount of bronzer and blusher, usually the Bourjois "Delice de Poudre" Bronzing Powder in the shade 51 and the Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in the shade 77 "Rose."

I often don't bother with eyeshadow but when I do, it is always the Revlon Colorstay palette in "Decadent."

I mostly use the shade second on the right!

I change up my mascara quite frequently but recently I've been wearing Benefit's "They're Real" mascara which I have a review on here!

I don't normally wear any lipgloss or lipstick to school so the last makeup product I use is the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in "Peach Glow" just to set my makeup.

Thank you for reading and let me know if you'd like a review on any product featured!

Comparison: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain & Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons are two very similar products and so I was interested to see the differences and overall which I preferred.

I have two shades of each - "Honey" and "Lovesick" from Revlon and "Orange Punch" and "Peach on the Beach" from Bourjois.

Price: both products are priced at £7.99

Packaging: both products have very similar packaging, however as you may be able to see from the photograph, the silver writing on one of the Bourjois lip crayons has started to fade after only a few months, compared to the Revlon balm stains which I have had for much longer and this hasn't happened so I would say Revlon has better packaging.

Colour Range: Bourjois only has four shades in the line - an orange, a peach, a red and a fuchsia whereas Revlon has several more including a purple and a berry colour, so I would say Revlon is better on this front. However, it should be kept in mind that the Revlon balm stains have been out a lot longer and so perhaps more shades will be added to the Bourjois line over time.

Bourjois are the top two, Revlon the bottom two

As you can see from the photos, I would say that they are both pretty equal in pigmentation, however the Bourjois lip crayons have a much glossier finish. I find that the Bourjois lip crayons are much nicer to wear as the Revlon balm stains can be slightly drying however the Revlon balm stains do last a lot longer than the Bourjois lip crayons where I find the colour fades after a few hours.

Overall, I would say that if you are looking for a moisturising lip colour then you will prefer the Bourjois lip crayons but if you are looking for longwearing colour then definitely opt for the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.

You can find the Bourjois lip crayons online here and the Revlon balm stains here

Review: Revlon Lip Butters

Anyone who loves makeup will have definitely heard and probably even contributed to the hype surrounding the Revlon Lip Butters. I would classify them as lipsticks though they do have a very glossy finish. I have four shades:

Left to Right: Raspberry Pie, Berry Smoothie, Candy Apple and Sweet Tart.

Sweet Tart is a bright bubblegum pink, a colour that I would never usually gravitate towards as it’s a bit too daring for me, but due to the formula of the Revlon Lip Butters I find this shade to be actually very wearable, especially for the summertime.

Berry Smoothie is a perfect berry colour, perfect for Autumn/Winter and the shade which I find I wear the most.

Candy Apple is a perfect, easy to wear red. It has a slight orange undertone which I personally love.

Raspberry Pie is, as the name states, a raspberry toned pink. This is probably the colour out of the four I have that I wear the least as it is the most pigmented, so I tend to only wear it when going out.

Top to bottom: Raspberry Pie, Candy Apple, Sweet Tart & Berry Smoothie.

As you can see, some colours are more pigmented than others, there are several others shades in the line, including a perfect classic pink called “Strawberry Shortcake” and a coral called “Tutti Frutti.”

They are priced at £7.99 each and can be bought in boots stores or online here.

My Favourite: Drugstore Lipgloss

Recently, when on holiday in America, I saw the brand "NYX" at Target. NYX is not sold in UK "drugstores" such as Boots or Superdrug and is not a brand I have tried many products from so I decided to buy a few products. I bought the Mega Shine Lipgloss in the colour "129- Beige."

The name is very misleading as I would not describe the colour to be beige at all, it's more of a dark pink. The lipgloss has a very strong sweet smell and a lot of colour, it's not sheer at all. After liking this lipgloss so much I decided to buy another from the line.

This is in the colour "159 - Smokey Look", although in the photo it looks very orange, off camera it's more of a peach colour.

Here is a comparison of the two with "Smokey Look" on the left and "Beige" on the right.

NYX Mega Shine Lipglosses can be bought in Target stores or online here in the US and online here in the UK.

Review: Benefit "They're Real" Mascara

Mascara is something I have tried MANY of and although there have been some I've liked more than others I had never been able to find one which I loved enough to stick to. That was until I tried this.

The packaging is really nice as with all products from benefit. The wand is perfect due to the end of the wand enabling you to separate every eyelash.

The mascara does a great job of lengthening and volumizing without clumping which is something I have found to be very rare in most mascaras. One downside is that it can be relatively difficult to take off but that means it is not going to smudge despite not being waterproof.

Overall, it is an amazing mascara and not too overpriced at £19.50 so I will definitely be repurchasing it!

Available to buy at benefit counters, boots stores or boots online as well as benefits website here.
