Rediscovered Love - Mac Blusher

I love finding products I forgot I bought and that's exactly what happened with this MAC Blusher in "Lovecloud."

It's from the Tres Cheeks collection back in 2012 and is a beautiful medium pink colour. It's a satin finish meaning it has a very small amount of shimmer and just gives a gorgeous glow to the skin.

The colour can be built up to be quite bright or remain fairly natural with just one layer. I think it could look great on any skin tone.

Unfortunately, this was limited edition and cannot be bought anymore however MAC's blusher in Pink Swoon is quite a similar colour so I would recommend checking that out if you are interested. Thanks for reading and hope you all have a lovely Christmas! xx

The Best Hair Product Ever

After hearing a little about this product, I was certain I would love it and sure enough I did. I have really long hair and love to curl my hair but I absolutely hate the smell of hairspray and the way it makes your hair feel, thus making Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry and Vanilla Hairspray the perfect product for me.

The hairspray has three main claims - to be strong hold, soft touch and anti-frizz and it does all of these amazingly well. When I use this product after curling my hair in the morning around 7am, the curls are still in place by around 5pm and it doesn't make your hair crunchy in the slightest. If you hadn't guessed from the name, the hairspray smells amazing too!

Retailing at £4.99 for 290ml, there is nothing I don't love about this product and I don't think I will ever buy any other hairspray. You can buy this product in the UK in Superdrug stores or online here and I believe the brand is going to be available in the US early next year too!

After loving this product so much I decided to pick up a few other products from the brand Fudge Urban - one of their styling mousses and a sea salt spray, so let me know if you would like a review on those. Thanks for reading xx

My Favourite: Drugstore Blusher

Continuing with my "My Favourite" series, today I wanted to share with you my favourite drugstore blusher. It is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush in "004 Pink Rose."

I've had this product for almost two years now so they have updated the packaging, however they do still sell this shade. It's a muted rosy colour with shimmer and it looks perfect on any skin tone.

It's very pigmented so you only need a small amount. The product also wears for a long time - I would say around 6 hours. It has a slight peach undertone which I think is one of the reasons I like it so much.

I would definitely recommend any of the Rimmel blushers, they are all amazing quality. You can purchase this product here for £3.99.

Review: Revlon Colorstay Foundation

Revlon is one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands and surprisingly I had never tried one of their foundations until I bought this one - Revlon Colorstay. I bought mine in the normal to dry skin formula but they also have another variation for combination to oily skin. This is one of the most expensive drugstore foundations but in this blog post I hope to show you exactly why it is worth it.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle and the only thing I don't like about this product is the fact you have to pour it onto your hand rather than using a pump.  The foundation has very high coverage and yet feels very light on the skin. I find that this foundation lasts all day even without primer which is very rare. It contains SPF 20.

This is not a foundation I would wear everyday because I don't find I need full coverage foundation very often but it is definitely one I will rely on on days when I want my makeup to last a long time. Another excellent thing about this product is the shade selection, there is a huge number of shades and there will definitely be the perfect colour match for everyone, mine is in the shade 150 - Buff.

This product retails at £12.49 for 30ml and can be purchased here.

My Favourite: Drugstore Foundation

Today I wanted to share with you a post on my current favourite foundation - the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation.

I first bought this foundation in early 2012 and since then have repurchased it about two or three times. This foundation is said to "visibly reawaken and illuminate skin with a radiant glow and a flawless natural-looking finish" and that's exactly what it does.

This foundation contains tiny subtle particles of glitter which give a beautiful glow. I would say it's a medium coverage and very easy to blend. This foundation is definitely better suited to those with dry or normal skin, but perhaps not the best option for those with oily skin. It has SPF 15 which is also great. If you're looking for a cheap natural looking dewy foundation, this is definitely for you!

This foundation retails for £8.99 and can be bought online here.

Beauty Bargain - Collection Cream Puff

Today I wanted to share with you a review on an "underdog" product from the UK drugstores. Collection 2000 (who have recently changed their name to Collection) are well known for having the best concealer in the drugstore so I was intrigued to try out a few more of their products and this was one of my favourites.

It's the Collection Cream Puff in "1 - Cotton Candy" and it's basically applied like a lipgloss and within a few minutes it dries to a matte finish - similar to the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams.

It is not drying in the slightest and is super pigmented, it even smells amazing! The best part? The price! It's only £2.99, I will definitely be purchasing other shades from the line! It can be bought here.

Have you tried any other products from Collection? Let me know!

Sweater Weather Tag!

Hello everyone, after seeing several people do this tag I thought I would share with you mine today.

1. Favourite candle scent?
Yankee Candle Salted Caramel!

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?

Hot chocolate

3. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
I like both, but probably dark lips - in particular this year I've loved Revlon's lip butter in raspberry pie which I've swatched and wrote some detail about in an older post you can read here if you're interested.

5. Best fragrance for fall?
Lately I've been loving Impulse "Loving Words", I'm terrible at describing scents but basically it has notes of raspberry and violet.

6. What is autumn weather like where you live?
In the UK it's pretty cold and tends to be quite rainy and windy.

7. Most worn sweater?
I have a few from Hollister which I really love.

8. Skinny jeans or leggings?

Black skinny jeans definitely.

9. Combat boots or Uggs?
I love uggs!

10. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?

I'm not too fond of pumpkin spice so I'm going to say no.

11. Favourite fall TV show?

Pretty Little Liars!

My Favourite: Powder

Today I wanted to continue my "My Favourite" series by sharing with you my favourite powder. This may be no surprise to you all as I know how many others also love this powder, it is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder.

I don't have oily skin meaning powder is not a necessity for me so I simply use powder to set my makeup and this product is perfect for that. It keeps my makeup on all day and I know everyone with oily skin who has used this product says it does do a really great job of keeping their skin matte all day (as the name hints!)

Mine is in the shade 003 - Peach Glow and there are around 6 or 7 shades available including a transparent one which suits all skin tones. The only fault I have with this product is the packaging, I wish that it had an attached lid and a mirror, but it's not too big a deal and has not stopped me from repurchasing this product probably around 4 times by now!

This powder can be bought for £3.99 in the UK here and $4.99 in the US here.

I Heart Drugstore Makeup Tag!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you all the "I <3 Drugstore Makeup Tag" which a lot of beauty bloggers have done recently! I do love drugstore makeup and have found several products from the likes of Boots and Superdrug that I prefer to some of my high end makeup.
1.) What's your favourite drugstore brand in general?
Ah, that's really difficult! I'd have to say Revlon for eye and lip products (lip butters, eyeshadow quads etc) and Rimmel for face and cheek products (foundations, blushers, powders, etc.)

2) Favourite face/cheek/lip product?
My favourite face product is without doubt the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, I will do an entire review on why I love this product so much soon. My favourite cheek product is probably the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder which I've done a review on here. My favourite lip products are lip crayons - such as the ones from Revlon, Bourjois, Rimmel, etc. Each brand has a slightly different formula but I'm yet to find one I dislike.

3.) Least favourite product?
L'Oreal eyeshadows! They're just too chalky and not easy to blend at all.

4.) Best drugstore bargain?
Rimmel Lasting Finish Blushers, I prefer these to my Mac Blushs and they're not even a quarter of the price. Also, Maybelline mascaras, I've tried so many of these and loved them all!

5.) Favourite "underdog" product - something that often gets overlooked?
Natural Collection lipglosses! These are so cheap and I love layering them over lipsticks to give more of a glossy finish.
Also, the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Colour, I love these just as much as I love Essie and OPI!
The Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Liners! These are as good as the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners!

6.) Overpriced drugstore product?
Max Factor foundations and mascaras, far too expensive for the quality.

7.) Best drugstore dupe?
The Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoos, so much cheaper than the likes of Mac Paint Pots and Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows and I think I might even prefer the Maybelline version!
8.) Product that isn't worth the hype?
EOS Lip Balms, I think most of the hype of this product surrounds the appearance rather than the actual product!
Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed :)

Review: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

It's been a while since I last done a review so I decided today to share with you my review on the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. I bought this product in the summer sort of out of the blue, I wasn't looking for a new foundation, I just saw this when browsing Boots one day and I adore the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation so I decided I'd quite like to try another Rimmel Foundation.

I really like the packaging - a glass bottle with a pump makes it easy to get the desired amount of product. Mine is in the shade 103 - True Ivory which I believe is the third lightest shade. There is a really good shade selection so everyone should be able to, as the name suggests, find their perfect match. It has SPF18 which you may wish to consider if you want to wear this to an event or such where there will be a lot of photographs taken but I can't say I've noticed any problem with this.

The foundation claims to be a "light perfecting radiance" foundation. I find the foundation easy to apply and I would say it's about medium coverage. The only fault I have with the product is the wear time, I would say it lasts about 6 or 7 hours without a primer but I notice quite a difference if worn with a primer so I would suggest wearing a primer underneath this foundation. It gives a natural appearance to the skin - not matte but not too "glowy" either.

Rimmel is definitely one of my favourite drugstore brands and I definitely think their foundations are some of the best from the drugstore, but I must say I still prefer the Wake Me Up foundation, also by Rimmel but perhaps this is a better option for those with oily skin as the Wake Me Up foundation gives a lot more of a glow.

This foundation retails at £6.99 for 30ml and can be purchased in any drugstore or online here.

My Favourite: High End Lipstick

Every girl has at least one makeup product that they just love and cannot seem to find a product better than it, for me it is this lipstick. Mac “Angel” is well known by all makeup lovers and I honestly think it is the perfect lipstick.

It’s just a classic pink, it is a frost finish meaning does not have too much shimmer and would compliment all skin tones. Frost isn't my favourite finish on Mac lipsticks as I think they can be ever so slightly drying but as long as you apply lip balm beforehand it's great.
I particularly like how versatile this lipstick is, you can apply almost any lipgloss over it to change the look. I really love wearing this lipstick with a nude lipgloss. You really can’t go wrong with this lipstick and it’s definitely a product I would recommend to anyone interested in buying a new lipstick!

Mac lipsticks are £15 so although could be considered slightly pricey, they’re still some of the cheapest high end lipsticks and this product is definitely worth the price tag. I cannot even express how much I love this lipstick and I will forever be repurchasing this. If you're interested more details can be found here. What’s the one lipstick that you can’t live without?

This Or That? Beauty Tag

Today I wanted to do the "this or that?" beauty tag which is lots of fun. I'd love to know your answers to some of these questions. Hope you enjoy.
Makeup:
Blush or Bronzer?
Difficult one but I'm going to have to say bronzer!
Lipgloss or Lipstick?
I think I prefer lipstick as they can be glossy anyway :)

Mascara or Eyeliner?
Mascara, definitely!

Gel or Liquid Eyeliner?
Gel Eyeliner I think, simply because I find it a bit easier to apply.

Neutral or Bright Eyeshadow?
Neutral for sure!
Foundation or Concealer?
Difficult one, I'd say foundation probably.

Liquid or Powder Foundation?
Liquid.
Brushes or Sponges?
Brushes.
Body:
Perfume or Body Spray?
Perfume in the winter, body spray in the summer.
Body Lotion or Body Butter?
Body butter!
Body Wash or Soap?
Body wash
Fashion:
Jeans or Sweatpants?
Jeans for the most part, sweatpants for any days I'm not leaving the house.
Long Sleeve or Short?
I love layering so I'd say short sleeve with a cardigan or such!
Dresses or Skirts?
I think that dresses look like you've made a lot more effort and yet are so easy to style, so I'd have to say dresses.
Flip Flops or Sandals?
Sandals

Necklaces or Bracelets?
I don't wear that much jewellery actually, but I'll say bracelets.

Heels or Flats?
I'm very short so heels!
Scarves or Hats?
Scarves, I don't think I can pull off hats :(

Coat or Hoodie?
I adore hoodies, I can never have enough!
Abercrombie or Hollister?
Literally can't choose between the two!
H&M or New Look?
I love them both and probably have about the same amount of clothes from each, so can I say both?
Hair:
Curly or Straight?
I have naturally straight hair but I prefer curly.
Bun or Ponytail?
Ponytail probably.

Hairspray or Hair Gel?
Hairspray although I actually don't use it very often, hate the way it makes my hair feel!
Long or Short?
Long hair definitely, I have relatively long hair and it can be quite a hassle but I just think it looks a lot nicer.
Light or Dark?
I have blonde hair, but I'm going to say dark.
Up or Down?
Down, I very rarely wear my hair up!
Random:
Rain or Shine?
Shine of course :)
Summer or Winter?
Hmm, I love October - December for the lead up to Christmas and New Year.
Autumn or Spring?
Autumn.
East or West Coast?
I'm British and I've only ever been to the East Coast so that has to be my answer.

September Favourites!

Hey guys! Today I am so excited to share with you my September favourites as October to December are my favourite months of the year, I love the lead up to Christmas and can't believe how fast this year is going!

My first favourite has been Batiste dry shampoo, I know it’s considered bad for your hair but I have really long hair so I do wash my hair every day, however usually on school days I have a shower at night so I have been liking using this product in the mornings just to refresh my hair. Available here for £2.99

I’ve also loved Soap and Glory’s Hand Food hand cream, this is an extremely popular product, I don’t know anyone who dislikes this. It contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallows – anyone who hasn’t tried it, you are sure to love it! Travel size available here for £2.50,

My next favourite has been the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch highlighting concealer, I go to bed quite late and especially as I went back to school this month, I haven’t been getting that much sleep so this has been an essential! Mine is in the lightest shade - Ivory. Available here for £6.99
Another September favourite of mine has been the Revlon colorburst lipgloss in 008 Peony, I’ve had this lipgloss for nearly a year now and I just love it, it’s a perfect pink with just a touch of peach in it. It looks lovely worn alone or with a nude or pink lipstick underneath. Can be bought here for £7.99
My last beauty favourite for September has been the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in 100 – Pinched. The name is definitely accurate – it looks lovely in photos and gives you a perfect glow. My only fault with this product is that there are only three shades in the line – a bright pink, an orange and a peach – and out of these, only the colour I have, would seem wearable to me, personally. If there were more wearable shades in the line I would definitely buy more. £7.99 from here
Swatches: Cream Blush in "Pinched", Lipgloss in "Peony"
My first fashion favourite is my new Calvin Klein coat, I got this in an actual Calvin Klein shop and so it’s difficult to try and find the exact one but here is one relatively similar.

As  this month I've been loving these songs:

Thanks for reading! What have been some of your beauty favourites this month? Let me know :)

Current Skincare favourite!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a skincare product that I've been loving recently, I actually purchased this in America as I had forgotten to bring a cleanser with me so I just randomly picked this one out and I am so glad I did.

It is the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Reviving Cleanser - what a long name! It smells gorgeous - just like pomegranate! The really unique thing about this product and perhaps why I love it so much is the fact it has real strawberry seeds in it. You may, just as I was, be thinking "what a weird thing to put in a cleanser" but trust me it works amazingly.

I don't have particularly oily or dry skin so I don't tend to look for any specific aim of a product but the main claim of this cleanser is to "help revive tired skin" and I think it does just that. I wouldn't really limit this to recommend to a specific skin type, I just think that if you are wanting to try out a new skincare product then definitely give this a try!

Can be bought in any US drugstore or in the likes of Wal-Mart, Target, etc for around $6. Let me know if you have any new skincare favourites!

My Favourite: Bronzer

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you my favourite bronzer, admittedly I haven't tried too many bronzers but to me this stands out as the best and I will continue to repurchase: the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder.

Bourjois is a brand known for its good quality yet affordable bronzers and has a range of different bronzers available, but this is by far the most popular and I can definitely see why.

The product is supposed to look and smell like a chocolate bar, it does have quite a strong scent which I don't mind but if you prefer products without strong scents then I probably wouldn't purchase this. It comes in two shades (51 and 52) one which has a more orange undertone and one with a more red undertone giving you the option to choose which one better suits your complexion.

It is matte which means it is great to use as a contouring powder as well as just to bronze up your skin. This bronzer has good colour pay off without being too intense so that you are scared to use it in case of looking orange! I know that for some girls bronzer isn't a product they often use but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a little hesitant to use bronzer, I think it will definitely change your mind!

The Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder can be purchased here from Boots and retails for a price of £6.99.

My Everyday Makeup for School

Hey guys, today I wanted to share with you my everyday makeup routine for school. Despite loving makeup so much and owning rather a lot, I don't spend very much time on my makeup before school and therefore only use a few products.

As a base I tend to stick with BB Cream for school as I find it a lot easier to apply and you don't need a primer - saving time meaning a few extra minutes in bed which we all appreciate on early mornings! Recently I've been using the Garnier one, but I also like the Maybelline one - comparison post coming soon! For a little more coverage I use the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer which I love!

If I have a little extra time I sometimes use a small amount of bronzer and blusher, usually the Bourjois "Delice de Poudre" Bronzing Powder in the shade 51 and the Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in the shade 77 "Rose."

I often don't bother with eyeshadow but when I do, it is always the Revlon Colorstay palette in "Decadent."

I mostly use the shade second on the right!

I change up my mascara quite frequently but recently I've been wearing Benefit's "They're Real" mascara which I have a review on here!

I don't normally wear any lipgloss or lipstick to school so the last makeup product I use is the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in "Peach Glow" just to set my makeup.

Thank you for reading and let me know if you'd like a review on any product featured!

Comparison: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain & Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons are two very similar products and so I was interested to see the differences and overall which I preferred.

I have two shades of each - "Honey" and "Lovesick" from Revlon and "Orange Punch" and "Peach on the Beach" from Bourjois.

Price: both products are priced at £7.99

Packaging: both products have very similar packaging, however as you may be able to see from the photograph, the silver writing on one of the Bourjois lip crayons has started to fade after only a few months, compared to the Revlon balm stains which I have had for much longer and this hasn't happened so I would say Revlon has better packaging.

Colour Range: Bourjois only has four shades in the line - an orange, a peach, a red and a fuchsia whereas Revlon has several more including a purple and a berry colour, so I would say Revlon is better on this front. However, it should be kept in mind that the Revlon balm stains have been out a lot longer and so perhaps more shades will be added to the Bourjois line over time.

Bourjois are the top two, Revlon the bottom two

As you can see from the photos, I would say that they are both pretty equal in pigmentation, however the Bourjois lip crayons have a much glossier finish. I find that the Bourjois lip crayons are much nicer to wear as the Revlon balm stains can be slightly drying however the Revlon balm stains do last a lot longer than the Bourjois lip crayons where I find the colour fades after a few hours.

Overall, I would say that if you are looking for a moisturising lip colour then you will prefer the Bourjois lip crayons but if you are looking for longwearing colour then definitely opt for the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.

You can find the Bourjois lip crayons online here and the Revlon balm stains here

Review: Revlon Lip Butters

Anyone who loves makeup will have definitely heard and probably even contributed to the hype surrounding the Revlon Lip Butters. I would classify them as lipsticks though they do have a very glossy finish. I have four shades:

Left to Right: Raspberry Pie, Berry Smoothie, Candy Apple and Sweet Tart.

Sweet Tart is a bright bubblegum pink, a colour that I would never usually gravitate towards as it’s a bit too daring for me, but due to the formula of the Revlon Lip Butters I find this shade to be actually very wearable, especially for the summertime.

Berry Smoothie is a perfect berry colour, perfect for Autumn/Winter and the shade which I find I wear the most.

Candy Apple is a perfect, easy to wear red. It has a slight orange undertone which I personally love.

Raspberry Pie is, as the name states, a raspberry toned pink. This is probably the colour out of the four I have that I wear the least as it is the most pigmented, so I tend to only wear it when going out.

Top to bottom: Raspberry Pie, Candy Apple, Sweet Tart & Berry Smoothie.

As you can see, some colours are more pigmented than others, there are several others shades in the line, including a perfect classic pink called “Strawberry Shortcake” and a coral called “Tutti Frutti.”

They are priced at £7.99 each and can be bought in boots stores or online here.
